The option is available when a player has a
blackjack and the dealer's up card is an ace. If the
player accepts this option on your blackjack gets
paid 1:1 instead of the usual 3-2. If not, the
dealer checks his cards face down, and if you have
blackjack then the draw and the player gets back his
bet and if the dealer does not have blackjack player
is the winner and gets the usual payout for
blackjack 3-2.
The option is available when the dealer's up card is
Ace. The player can then pay the insurance against
dealer's blackjack at the level of half of its
stake. If the dealer has a blackjack then the
insurance pays 2:1, and the original bet loses.
If the dealer does not have blackjack, the player
loses the insurance, and the game goes on as with
any other hand. If the dealer's up card is Ace, a
player at the same time has a blackjack, the
insurance is not available but "paid 1:1.
Insurance is a bet that increases the house
advantage and the player should never take
insurance. If you and the player and the dealer have
blackjack at the same time and it is considered a
draw and the player gets back his bet.
